Founded in 1970 as an association of producers from the southwest of Sicily, Colomba Bianca is one of the most important Sicilian wine producers with around 2'500 members. Around 7'500 hectares are cultivated by the cooperative in the vineyards between the provinces of Trapani, Palermo, Agrigento, Caltanissetta and Ragusa and processed in five modern wine cellars. White grape varieties such as Grillo, Chardonnay or Zibibbo are particularly at home here. These are flanked by red wines such as Nero d'Avola, Syrah, Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon.
A team of young and experienced oenologists control the implementation of the ambitious goals of the winery. Already today 25% of the total production is certified organic. The aim is to increase this volume to 50% in the next coming years and become the leading supplier of organic wines throughout Italy and Europe.
