Boreas is the north wind and was the inspirer of the wine bottle logo. The wind on the slopes in Somerset West adds its own to the wines.
The entrance resembles a panoramic track, and when you reach the top you are overwhelmed by the view. The Waterkloof Winery in Somerset West is reason enough to visit the Somerset wine region. Modern architecture and French-style winemaking methods are the highlights of the Waterkloof winery.
50-120 hectares of the estate are planted with vineyards. The winery has even been accredited for its organic farming practices. The proximity to the sea, the wind, the quality of the land and the Mediterranean climate all play a role in the final product of Waterkloof wines and can easily be compared to the natural cultivation practices in Provence that Waterkloof can be inspired by
