The Lazzaroni company has existed since the beginning of the 18th century and quickly became known in Italy for its Amaretti di Saronno. The company was one of the first to produce biscuits with an amaretto flavor on an industrial scale. At the end of the 19th century people looked around for new ideas and soon afterwards the production of the first Lazzaroni Amaretto started.

This is still made today according to the old recipe, in which the famous amaretti biscuits are infused in alcohol - this process was really obvious. With its nutty aroma, which is strongly reminiscent of almonds, the liqueur is ideal for use in coffee specialties, baked goods and sweet desserts. In addition, the Amaretto can be used to prepare a variety of classic and unconventional cocktails (Godfather, Amaretto Sour, etc.), if you don't want to taste it straight.
