Clear, intense ruby red, consistent. The nose is intense, complex and fine with floral notes of lavender rose and violet, hints of red berry fruit such as black currant, strawberry and blackberry but above all ripe cherry. The tertiary notes of oak wood, the toasted notes of bacon, coffee and finally the spicy notes of cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg derive from the aging in barrique. Dry, warm and soft, with a good gustative freshness, quite savory and with a silky and enveloping tannin. Full-bodied, balanced, intense, persistent of excellent quality.

Goes well with meat stew, aged cheeses, mushroom risotto, pappardelle with meat sauce and Palermo-style meat rolls.
